first_img1 Former Charlton head coach Bob Peeters Charlton Athletic have sacked head coach Bob Peeters with immediate effect following a poor run of results.The Addicks have recorded just two league victories since the end of September with the Belgian in charge, sliding to 14th place in the Championship table.Two of Peeters’ backroom staff, Patrick van Houdt and Guy Kiala, have also parted with the club.A statement on the club’s official website read: “Peeters signed a 12-month contract at The Valley in the summer and enjoyed a good start to life in the Championship.“However, given the recent downturn in results and performances, the board felt they had to make a change at this time.“The club would like to thank the trio for their efforts and a further statement will be made in due course.”last_img
